King of Dramas - My Final Thoughts
Go-eun: “Even though he’s just a third-rate producer now, he’s forever the king of dramas in my mind.”
King of Dramas was one of the dramas that kept me hooked and on edge, every time it ended each episode. The anticipation for the next one was so high and the pace of the story was great. There is always positivity in every bad situation. The lead role, Anthony, may not be my actual dream of a handsome lead actor, it's more like Kang Hyun Min [Choi Siwon] but Kim Myung Min as Anthony gave a very great performance on his role. He may have presented a cool guy, not romantic and has a lot of baggage, still, his charm wove into me and found him cute specially whenever there is Go Eun in the same scene.
I like how the lack of romance builds up later, even though I felt the electricity or how Go Eun connects with Anthony without effort every time they were together, but the only thing that made me a little bit off was how the writer of the story went and made it dramatic, which personally, should not have been. I had watched World's Within and it has the same story of the lead actor suffering an eye problem that could lead to blindness. The only difference, Hyun Bin did not go blind.
I was really looking for a more romantic scene, a happy ending [though it has] and a more successful couple in the movie industry, but, well, I guess they want it to be as realistic and positive as the story can be. That total happiness doesn't depend on success alone and anyone can be totally happy and content even if you are disable and with the one you love the most.
This ending of the drama is fine because it lets the viewer think of what is the most important in life.
Anyway, after battling all the problems, even letting his chance of treating his eyesight, Anthony who puts his drama first got what he dreamed of. A successful drama. Even the couple Hyun Min and Min Ah who were always fighting became a real couple in the end and even do business together as CF couples.
Choi Siwon's character may not be what I hope for but he sure gave the character a nice touch. His quirky and realistic portrayal of what some actors in the field must be like, somehow it gave me laughter and smiles. So what's wrong in being all material and ambitious? It is reality. People tend to be this way when popularity made them. The nice part, Hyun Min get his happy ending.
I love how King of Dramas wrapped up in the end. There is forgiveness, there is humility and most of all, it told how the world is. It's round, sometimes you are up, sometimes you are down. If you think that you will always be on top, then you are wrong.
What happened to Anthony happened to Oh Jin Wan. :))
Well, that's life. That's reality. No one can predict and can hold on to something that fate can reverse.
For now, I can say that King of Dramas is one of the good dramas I watched in 2012. And this is my final thoughts.

King of Dramas Confirmed for a 2-episode extension!
Great news for fans of the drama like me. It's already episode 13 this week and the story is just building specially the love part.
-will finish on January 7th with 18 episodes~~
Why King of Dramas is Not The Same as Other K-dramas?
I read this article and I agree on what it says about the drama.
'King of Dramas' Rules Out 3 Problems
'King of Dramas' is being hailed for not having these 3 things:
1. Acting Problems
"King of Dramas" is a project that needs no controversy about the actors. Kim Myung Min is widely recognized as one of the best actors currently and shows that once again. Jung Ryeo Won also is showing very good synchronization with her character and is definitely doing her part in attracting popularity for the drama and for herself.
Choi Siwon is being touted as being 'rediscovered,' with his various portrayals of the out-of-whack actor Kang Hyun Min. Many are being led to believe that this may even be closer to who the real Choi Siwon is because it's such a realistic portrayal.
Oh Ji Eun, who plays top actress Sung Min Ah, is relatively new actress but she's definitely pulling her weight as a part of the love triangle with Anthony Kim.
2. Forced Love Story
Because the drama is about a specialized profession, the production has managed to carry this integrity thus far and keep the drama about the arduous process of creating a drama until this point, the half point of the drama. Recently, the love stories have been taking shape and many more fans are asking for more.
Some Korean dramas have been cricitized in the past for forcing love stories that are not necessarily too convincing but "King of Dramas" certainly isn't one of them.
3. Ridiculous Plotpoints
"King of Dramas" also does not have the more extreme plotpoints that are often used to entice the viewers' curiosity and is definitely not sensational. The drama is realistic and true to life so it's definitely attracting a fanbase of entertainment and media professionals.
One insider said, "We're being told that the industry people really love this drama. We hope to continue to make a high quality drama that doesn't fall under the expectations of the viewers."
The drama airs every Monday and Tuesday.

Episode 12 - King of Dramas Screen caps Update
What more can I say? I really love this drama. With a bit of humor and drama and suspense all rolled into one. Choi Siwon's character Kang Hyun Min is cute, always annoying Sung Min Ah and making her pissed off by just his presence. He was just so naughty. Love the part of the kiss scene. Just to get even with her for the many NG's she did, slapping him for so many times, he ate garlic just before the kiss scene!!!
lol! I think these two should end up together.
As for our lead characters, Go Eun and Anthony aka Kim Bong Dal, the tension is there and slightly increasing. She could not sleep after the little incident in Anthony's bedroom when he asked her what she thinks of him as man while in a compromising situation. She was almost on top of him.
She was so confused she even dreamed of him kissing her!
