As we reported before on Soompi.comChoi Ji Woo is returning to TV through MBC’s new drama “Can’t Live With Losing.” (This is a temporary title.) This new drama will come in for the time slot of MBC’s“Heartstrings,” and will be broadcast in August.

Choi Ji Woo has been one of my favorite actress since I watched Winter Sonata where she played opposite Bae Yong Joon. I first saw Yoon Sang Hyun in My Fair Lady where he played a very light and playful lead man together with Yoon Eun Hye. I guess, I will be looking forward to this drama, after all it has been a long time since Choi Ji Woo acted again.

Watching Secret Garden, The Most Popular Drama of 2010

At last, I found the time to watch the most popular drama that ended a few weeks ago at Korea from SBS, the Secret Garden. I've read many articles about the drama and all were positive. Many fans of Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won were satisfied over the pairing of the two actors in the said drama. Of course, I was curious, but had to restrain myself from peaking or watching it because I was then watching another K-drama and I want to finish it first so that I can totally enjoy the next drama.

Admittedly, I was a fan of both Hyun Bin and Song Hye Kyo. I am also one of those who wish that they are still a couple despite the few negative rumours surfacing recently.

Anyway, back to Secret Garden...I started episode 1 last night to episode 3 and, yes, it started good. Ha Ji Won  looks pretty in her short hair and she looks great in her black outfit as a stunt woman, she reminded me of my favourite hollywood actress Angelina Jolie.

While Hyun Bin on the other hand looks gorgeous (always) and I like his character. A man who is kinda weak, in terms of action. Maybe it was because he was raised in a rich family where finesse is a must. He doesn't have a rough character who boast on being tough which is exactly the opposite of Ha Ji Won who lives a poor life and must struggle to be a stunt woman in order to live.

It was like "the rich-president of a multi company-meets-a- tough-penniless-lady". Some scenes are hilarious I find myself laughing.

Yes, there was a chemistry between the two actors. They look good together on screen.

Definitely, I will enjoy watching the rest of the episodes.

Secret Garden (SBS-2010-Korean Drama)

Plot

Kim Joo-Won (Hyun-Bin) is from a wealthy family, smart and good looking. He runs the luxurious Roel Department store, which his family owns. Oska (Yoon Sang-Hyun) is a popular singer around Asia, but he doesn't have musical talent. He is also a womanizer. Joo-Won and Oska are also cousins and highly competitive towards each other.
On a request by Oska, Joo-Won goes to pick up actress Park Chae-Rin from a shooting set. Joo-Won mistakes stunt woman Kil Ra-Lim (Ha Ji-Won) for Park Chae-Rin and takes stunt woman Ra-Lim to a hotel. Oska made the request in an attempt to prevent Park Chae-Rin from revealing their relationship to the press. At the hotel, Joo-Won discovers that the woman he picked is not actress Park Chae-Rim but a stunt woman. During this time, Joo-Won starts to experience strong feelings for the feisty stunt woman, even though she isn't his type. Joo-Won tried getting Ra-Lim out of his mind for Ra-Lim does not own a high status life nor is even rich. Nevertheless, Joo-Won can't stop thinking about Ra-Lim.
Later, Joo-Won sneaks into an action school to watch Ra-Lim. Meanwhile, Ra-Lim tries her best to ignore Joo-Won because she knew Joo-Wan belongs to another higher social level compared to her. Nevertheless, Ra-Lim can't help her blooming feelings towards Joo-Won.
Yeun-Sul (Kim Sa-Rang) and Oska are ex-lovers, but they can't seem to forget each other. Because Yeun-Sul had a high-living status, she was arranged to attend a blind date with Joo-Won. Even though Jo-Wan made it clear that he doesn't have interest in her, Yeun-Sul keep pursuing Joo-Won. Yeun-Sul knows Joo-Wan is Oska's cousins and wants to use Joo-Wan to get under Oska's skin. Yeun-Sul then manages to become the director for Oska's next music video. The video shoot takes place on Jeju Island.
Meanwhile, stunt woman Ra-Lim is a fan of Oska's music and wins a contest to go to Jeju Island with Oska himself. Ra-Lim also wanted to take part in Oska's music video. Joo-Won learns that Ra-Lim won the contest to spend time with Oska and decides to follow them to Jeju Island.
On Jeju Island, the main participants all gather. While they were mountain biking, Ra-Lim somehow gets separated from Joo-Won and Oska. Joo-oan searched frantically over Ra-Lim's disappearance and went searching for her. Eventually, Joo-Won was able to save Ra-Lim but ended up stranded in a mysterious place called 'Secret Garden'. Mysteriously, the owner of 'Secret Garden' seems to know Joo-Won and Ra-Lim very well. The owner presented two bottles of alcohol to Joo-Wan and Ra-Lim. They manage to get their way back to the hotel before night and went their separate ways. At night, Joo-Won and Ra-Lim face sleeping difficulties and took this time to clear their minds while having sips of their gifted alcohol individually. And a twist of intrigue took place in the plot when both Ra-Lim and Joo-Won switched souls!

My fair lady "helpless love" {mv} Yoon Sang Hyun

This beautiful song was recorded by Yoon Sang-heon, the lead actor in the drama My Fair Lady opposite Yoon Eun Hye. He has a nice voice and after watching the drama and listening to this beautiful melody I found myself humming to this song. I can't help but fall in love with the song.

After a few days I surfed the internet and downloaded this song to my cellphone and even added it to my playlist in my korean cd. Then I search for the lyrics and fortunately, I found it.

Below is the lyrics, written in Korean characters and its alphabet words and of course, the English translation.I plan on singing this song while it plays:))

나도 모르게 내가 웃고 있네요
nado moreuge naega utgo inneyo
가슴이 자꾸 그댈 데려오는데
gaseumi jakku geudael deryeooneunde
웃으며 그댈 내안에 담아야 하는지
useumyeo geudael naeane damaya haneunji
모른척 숨겨야 하는지..
moreuncheok sumgyeoya haneunji..
괜찮은 그대 남자 되고 싶어요
gwaenchanheun geudae namja doego sipeoyo
그대 나에게 기댈 수 있도록
geudae naege gidael su itdorok
편히 마주할 수 없다는걸 잘알지만
pyeonhi majuhal su eopdaneungeol jaraljiman
내가슴이 하는 일인걸요..
naegaseumi haneun iringeollyo..
두근두근 내 뛰는 가슴은
dugeundugeun nae ttwineun gaseumeun
감추려고 뒤돌아서봐도
gamchuryeogo dwidoraseobwado
사랑은 어쩔 수 없네요
sarangeun eojjeol su eomneyo
마음대로 마음이 움직이지 않죠..
maeumdaero maeumi umjigiji anchyo..
아무리 참으려해도 또 그리워져요
amuri chameuryeohaedo tto geuriwojyeoyo
나 그대를 사랑할래요..
na geudaereul saranghallaeyo..
순간순간 나 두려워져요
sungansungan na duryeowojyeoyo
내것이 아닌것만 같아서
naegeosi aningeotman gataseo
사랑은 어쩔 수 없네요
sarangeun eojjeol su eomneyo
마음대로 마음이 움직이지 않죠..
maeumdaero maeumi umjigiji anchyo..
아무리 참으려해도 또 그리워져요
amuri chameuryeohaedo tto geuriwojyeoyo
나 그대를 사랑할래요..
na geudaereul saranghallaeyo..
사랑해 그댈 사랑해요
saranghae geudael saranghaeyo
눈물겨운 행복이 사랑인가봐요
nunmulgyeoun haengbogi sarangingabwayo
아무리 멈추려해도 그게 잘안되요
amuri meomchuryeohaedo geuge jarandoeyo
난 그대를 사랑합니다
nan geudaereul saranghamnida
난 그대만 사랑합니다…
nan geudaeman saranghamnida…
—————
I’m smiling without me knowing
My heart keeps on wanting you
Should I smile and hold you in my heart
Or hide you inside pretending not to care
I want to be a good guy for you
So that you can lean on me
I know well that it might not be comfortable
But that is a job for my heart
Thump. Thump. My thumping heart
I turn around to hide it
Love is helpless
The heart doesn’t move the way you want it to
No matter how hard I try to suppress it
I am missing again
I think I’m going to love her
From time to time I become afraid
Because it feels like it isn’t mine
Love is helpless
The heart doesn’t move the way you want it to
No matter how hard I try to suppress it
I am missing again
I think I’m going to love her
I love… I love you
Maybe this tearful happiness is love
No matter how hard I try to stop
It doesn’t happen
I love you
I will only love you

My Fair Lady-on soundtrack music video

The following soundtracks were all from the Korean drama My Fair Lady starring Yoon Eun Hye, Yoon Sang-heon and Jeong Il-woo. The video titled Romance MV was performed by Yoon Eun Hye and Yoon Sang-heon. What a lovely melody and their vocal range are perfect.

Helpless was sung by Yoon Sang-heon. So is Take Care of My Love. He is such a talented actor, one who can also sing and not just sing, he has a nice voice and you can feel the emotion behind the song.

I Love You, another official soundtrack of the drama was sang by Narsha ft. Miryo. It was a beautiful song fit for the drama. The rest are also beautiful.

Yoon Eun Hye in My Fair Lady

I started watching My Fair Lady yesterday where Yoon Eun Hye was the lead star in a triangle role with Yoon Sang-heon and Jeong Il-woo, both good looking in their own way.

yeh

Yoon Sang-heon

Jeong Il-woo

I like Eun Hye in Coffee Prince despite her lack of make up in the drama, and I really find her beauty refreshing although she was portraying a gay role or assumed by Han kyul, the lead actor opposite Eun Chan (YEH) played by Gong Yoo.

But seeing her in My Fair Lady as Kang Hae Na, looking so stylish, chic and trendy makes her more beautiful. Her role here in the drama is like a princess, pampered and a bit spoiled who is living with her grandfather. Her manner was one of haughtiness and selfish but there was a reason why her character was like that.

I finished watching episode 5 already and Dong Chan (Yoon Sang-heon) was really cute despite his rough character. I also like the other guy, Tae Yoon (Jeong Il-woo), with his fresh and suave character, always smiling. For now I am torn between the two of them but Dong Chan's antics are more favorable because he brings out the funny scenes in the story which made me laugh while watching.

So far, the drama is well written and acted upon, and definitely not boring.

My Fair Lady

updating:

Finally, I finished watching My Fair Lady. Even though the drama is light and funny at the same time, I found myself crying in the last part of episode 15 and in episode 16. There was this part where Hae Na was trying to say goodbye to Dong Chan, she was containing her emotions, trying very hard not to break down and you could feel her anguish as she let go of her love for Dong Chan. As for Dong Chan, he felt Hae Na's difficulty and he saved her from telling him that they would break up by telling her himself that he could not keep his promise to stay by her side.

It's so frustrating to watch these two lovers trying to be level headed while breaking up. Not to add the beautiful song playing in the background. It was so heart wrenching when Hae Na told him that if there would be a next life for them both, she would stay and be with Dong Chan. My tears kept pouring when Hae Na turned away from Dong Chan and walked away.

There was a lump in my throat at the beginning of episode 16 where Hae Na continued her life without Dong Chan. She narrated through her unfinished letter how her days passed by as if Dong Chan was still there at her side. It was as if she was telling him that even though they were apart, in her heart and in her mind, he never really left her. It was a touching moment.

Another part where my tears rolled down unknowingly was when her grandfather passed away silently. There were no more words to utter except call her grandfather while she wept. It was a simple scene yet so heavy.

My Fair Lady is a beautiful story, a story of love despite the odds. I may say that watching it was worth my while.:)
