Joo Won's Omma and Gil Ra Im met previously in episode 12 and although she frankly told Ra Im that she is not suited for her son, and how Joo Won admitted that he is attracted to her, but insisted that his mother must stop him in future if ever he would marry Gil Ra Im, which is so contradicting and confusing at the same time.
Gil Ra Im was so hurt. But then, Joo Won continued to pursue her and yes, in this episode, they finally let their feelings took over. Joo Won chose to be with her and so Ra Im chose to follow her heart. Even though she was hurt with words that came out of Joo Won's Omma. She was ready to give up, but maybe, her feelings for him was too much.
Then the most wonderful thing happened.
In a party, in front of everyone to see, Joo Won kissed Ra Im, while Oska was playing the piano and Seul was standing by the piano.
Joo Won is really in love with her. He just can't help himself. He doesn't care if everyone is looking. What really mattered in that moment is that Ra Im was there..in front of him.
