Trainee Soldier Rain Dispatched to the Frontline

World star Rain, who has officially entered his mandatory military service on October 11 was dispatched to Division 5 as a trainee soldier. Division 5 is a frontline division located in Gyeonggi Province, where it is said that temperatures drop to 30 degrees below zero in the winter.

Rain's assignment to Division 5 came from the grouping session held at the 306^th training base on the morning of October 14. The process is held openly and applied equally to all new soldiers entering the army. Rain will be trained for eight weeks at the Division 5 base beginning Monday, October 17.

On the days leading up to his enlistment, Rain finished up his nationwide concert tour and held events with his fans. After his basic training, Rain will serve as an active soldier until July 2013.
