A Gentleman's Dignity #1 Drama in it's Timeslot!

Again...daebak! Another reason why I am recommending this drama to anyone who has not yet watched it. like I said before, this drama is very interesting, entertaining and has beautiful story line. Guess the viewers in Korea and I agree on the same thing.:))

Once started watching this, can't seem to stop but want more. Very addicting romance/comedy drama. All the characters have  their own story that is very appealing. Love how their characters blend and make them all lovable. It has been a while since I was hooked this way in a drama.

Chukahae! Great job by the director and the writer for keeping us viewers glued to the story. It is not surprising if it hits 20.3% viewership ratings according to AGB Nielson Media Research on June 25, making A Gentleman's Dignity #1 in it's timeslot, drama category which on the other hand make Song Seung Hun's Time Slip Dr. Jin on the same time only got a 12.7% ratings. [well, I like SSH but then maybe it should not have been placed on the same timeslot!]

Jang Dong Gun's comeback never failed. A good choice. He definitely still got the charisma. Glad that he is enjoying this success with his co-actors/actresses. And as I finished watching episode 10 on which there was a positive development between Kim Do Jin and Seo Yi Soo, the viewers like me will impatiently wait the next episode. I know that there will be more revelation as the story goes and the writers now are thinking of many ways to make the drama better and better.

“A Gentleman’s Dignity” Reaches 20.3% Viewership Rating!

“A Gentleman’s Dignity” reached #1 for dramas in its timeslot! According to AGB Nielson Media Research on June 25, the episode of “A Gentleman’s Dignity” broadcast on June 24 reached a viewership rating of 20.3%. This is the highest that the drama has seen, it broke the original record of an 18.6% viewership rating.

“Time Slip Dr. Jin” which is the drama’s rival because it airs at the same time, had a viewership rating of 12.7%.

After hearing the news actor Kim Soo Ro (Who plays Taesan on the drama) tweeted, “We reached 20%! Thank you for all of you who are watching the broadcast. Passe! I will take this that all of you love my character Taesan.”

The drama stars features Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ha Neul, Kim Soo Ro, Kim Min Jong, and Lee Jong Hyuk It airs every Saturdays and Sundays at 9:50pm KST on SBS.

Was so impatiently waiting for the upload and the Eng sub and the waiting was crazy. Finally last night I finished ep 9 and today ep 10. I was wondering when will the chasing stop between Kim Do Jin and Seo Yi Soo. Last night in ep 9, KDJ was hurt badly by SYS.  Intentionally she wore the beautiful pink shoes given by KDJ but as a result, confessed her feelings to Tae San in front of friends and Se Ra, telling everyone that it was in the past and now it was Do Jin she has feelings for and  again she used him and this made him mad.  Of course, although it is true, unknowingly in her part, this action made Do Jin feel like a fool. He actually told her to  never see each other again and avoid each other if circumstances somehow interfered and he is letting her go.


Seo Yi Soo finally realized how Do Jin meant to her. Without even realizing it, he became a great part of her life and that she actually likes him, a lot. So she made an effort to right things between them but seemed too late for Do Jin was avoiding speaking to her. And this new situation is so hurtful and sad for Yi Soo. I find myself wanting to cry for her.


She was like a walking zombie. Pale and always not herself. Her mind was elsewhere. The impact of Do Jin's resolve was breaking her heart. But on the other hand, Do Jin was also hurt and perhaps his ego decided that since this woman has affection towards other man, who is his friend, it is just right to forget her. Which is not easy.


Anyway, I was glad that Yi Soo did not give up on Do Jin. If I were on her shoes, my pride would not let me chase a man with apology that was always turned down. My pride would never make me go to his office, or text him least of all go to his house with a very poor excuse of giving book to Yoon, her friend and his friend. but it is Yi Soo and I am glad that she did it all. She was making him see her sincerity. She must have love him too much now.


Well, of course this is what I am waiting for. The acceptance of their feelings to one another. And I am happy! Omo! My heart was beating and racing at the same time while watching them on the screen. The chemistry was killing me!


The last scene is a new beginning for Kim Do Jin and Seo Yi Soo. Although I wanted more scenes, I have to wait a week for more juicy stuffs. :))

Continuing my thoughts about AGD...

Episode 7 unveiled Kim Do Jin's reason for recording his daily life's activities. It was not really clear but his brain is not working properly. He suffered from memory lapses. Reasons were betrayal or loosing someone. What's interesting was he totally forgot what happened between him and Seo Yi Soo. He kissed her the night before but never remembered it the next day. His recording pen was not with him but it was inside the jacket he lent to Yi Soo. He somehow felt strange when he woke up and his mind was blank. The reason why when he saw Yi Soo he was so casual. Yi Soo thought the kiss [although one sided as far as she was concerned] should mean more to KDJ.

But of course it was his brain to blame why it blocked that beautiful memory. Perhaps it was because it gave a great impact on him that's why his brain was suddenly malfunctioning again.

Love can do that sometimes...:)) Especially when you were caught off guard!

The sofa scenes...funny and at the same time naughty as usual. Their chemistry is so strong.
I just love doing screencaps. Their faces are both beautiful.

Kim Ha Neul was so cute here. She was so into her character I would not have noticed if she felt any consciousness doing this scene with Jang Dong Gun. If only I could wish for a true romance between them off screen. But of course I won't. JDG is a very much married man.

Well...I am really waiting for the next episodes. I am literally addicted to this drama. Just focusing on these two coz I don't have enough time to make screencaps with the other characters who I'd say very good and hilarious as well. Also like their own love stories but hey, i don't have time. KDJ and SYS are more than enough for me. :))
