Kim Hyun Joong Kicks Off Filming for ‘City Conquest’ in Japan

Filming has kicked off for Kim Hyun Joong’s upcoming new television drama.
On July 10, filming for the upcoming City Conquest kicked off in Japan’s Nikko Edomura theme park with Kim Hyun Joong, Jung Yu Mi, Nam Gung Min and Park Hyo Joon.
A source on-hand on the day of filming said, “The weather in Nikko was temperamental with rain, and we could have had to delayed the shoot; however, as soon as filming began, the clouds suddenly parted to reveal sunny weather as though the sky itself was cheering on the production of City Conquest. The actors and stars are all passionately shooting in a positive environment.”
City Conquest is a drama based on the manga of the same title by cartoonist Shin Hyung Bin.
The drama cast Kim Hyun Joong as the main character, Mir.
For his first action drama, Kim Hyun Joong exercising regularly to bulk up and bring down his body fat to 7 percent.
The drama will be directed by Yang Yoon Ho who previously directed dramas such as Iris and movies such as Fighter in the Wind.
The drama’s air date and broadcast home has not yet been settled.

Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye sell out their fan meeting in Japan
Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye‘s drama ‘You’ve Fallen For Me’ has sold out all tickets for its first fan meeting in Japan.
Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye will be attending the fan meeting for the drama ‘You’ve Fallen For Me’ on July 16th at the Tokyo International Forum. The fan meeting will be held to commemorate the broadcast of the drama on Fuji TV later this month and the 10,000 ticket that were made available were sold out the moment the ticket sales began.
The organizers of the fan meeting ‘AI Entertainment’s representative stated, “The fan meeting for ‘You’ve Fallen For Me’ is a big deal in Japan. The fan meeting was planned to repay for all the love and support the fans had given, so in the spirit of things part of the proceeds will be donated to the ‘Food For The Hungry International’.”
‘You’ve Fallen For Me’ tells the story of dreams, love, and passions of college students in an art school. It recorded disappointing ratings in Korea but it was received well in Japan. It had been ranked #1 in rental at Japan’s largest music store chain Tsutaya.
Park Shin Hye’s representative spoke on the fan meeting, “We want to thank the Japanese fans for all their love. The drama had a one year broadcast anniversary in Korea, we hope that more fans will be able to experience the drama through the TV broadcast and the fan meeting.”

The latest on HEAT SAITAMA Event...KHJ Cried? More Photos +videos
I haven't been keeping myself up to date with Kim Hyun Joong's recent performance in Japan, the Heat event or Double Fantasista Concert in Saitama. I was busy lately with something else, but then, today as I write this post, I was updating myself as well. I searched and read and watched a portion of a video during his performance, which was the finale song [as I understood] where he was about to sing If You Are Like Me, and waiting for his intro of the song, because he decided to sing it a Capella style, I was a bit touched by how he could not start singing. There were news about him visiting a doctor for a medical check up because apparently he has sore throat. And the reason why there was a delay in the first show. Anyway, to continue, although the capture of the performance was so far to really see his face, I could feel his feelings. The fans were cheering him on, and he kind of make a small laugh maybe to ease what he felt which was definitely overwhelming that time I am sure, and to find his voice [again, I want to think that there was a lump in there] to start singing. There were comments about him like "oh leader don't cry! we love you". These comments can be found at the page of the video uploader.
Things like these makes me want to hug him and say, "Gwenchana, Hyun Joong. We understand." It was so touching even though I was not there, but listening to the way he sang the song, it was all worth it. He sang with so much passion and the love he receives from the fans gave him so much energy even though he must be so tired of all the things he is doing simultaneously. Filming a drama, doing interviews, rehearsals, concerts day and night and not to add flights from Seoul to Japan.
It's never a surprise if someone said, Hyun Joong cried during the performance. It is so like him. He has a soft spot for his fans deep in his heart and the only thing he can give back to them is his all/everything he got which is a flawless performance despite being sick.
I applaud you Kim Hyun Joong! You are a true performer. And we [although I am not present] really appreciated!
