With the success of the movie Thieves, where Kim Soo Hyun is one of the cast, he made a promise that he will carry a fan if the movie reach 10million audience.

And true to his word, he did just that to one lucky girl.

Actors Kim Hae Sook and Kim Soo Hyun of the greatest blockbuster of the year, The Thieves, have kept their promise.

According to the integrated digital network of the Korean Film Council on August 19, 334,186 moviegoers watched the movie with the accumulated number of 10,834,336 people in the audience.

On August 18, Kim Hae Sook and Kim Soo Hyun appeared at the Megabox in Gangnam to keep their promise which they made in the hope of 10 million people watch it. They received explosive reactions from the audience.

There were some people who already watched the movie five times, some from rural areas, and some other holding buckets of flowers.

Despite her busy schedule with drama, Kim Hae Sook attended at the event and said, “I’m so happy that I had a chance to work on a movie with a good character that attracted 10 million people. I’m also thankful to the audience who made this number possible. Thank you for coming out in this bad weather.”

Kim Soo Hyun expressed his gratitude by saying, “I made that promise in the hope of 10 million people watch it, and I’m very happy that it came true. Thank you all for making that number come true.”

A middle school girl who came from a rural area was selected to be carried on Kim’s back. She came to the theatre with her parents, and as soon as Kim called out her number, she expressed her joy in tears. Kim joked and posed friendly with her and carried her on his back to keep his promise. He went around the theater with the girl on his back and responded to every flashlight he received.

The Thieves is now the sixth biggest Korean box-office hit in history



The Thieves is about to break the box-office record of Silmido.

On August 19, the Korean Film Commission reported that The Thieves took the second spot in the box office, attracting a total of 334,193 people, on August 18. Total attendance at this film is 10,834,343, which is about to break that of Silmido, which is around 11.08 million.

Having attracted a lot of attention since its release, The Thieves became the sixth biggest Korean box-office hit in history on August 15. It’s the first film that attracted over ten million people in three years after Haeundae.

It’s been four weeks since the film was released, but it’s still popular. Although it was beaten by Gone with the Wind on the day, it’s still attracting 200,000 during the weekdays and 300,000 during the weekends in average, which is enough to break the record of Silmido.

The next target of The Thieves is Haeundae. It’s the fourth biggest Korean box-office hit in history, attracting over 11.39 million people in 2009. The Thieves is expected to break the record of Haeundae next week.

Gone with the Wind took the top spot in the box office on August 18, attracting a total of 339,368 people. Total attendance at this film is 2,879,194. Total Recall ranked third with daily attendance of 180,136 and total attendance of 628,941.

After posting news of denials from both their agencies this past few weeks since the rumor started, now, apparently, the relationship really existed between Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung! Have posted a couple of news here, I remember, and while doing so, I was thinking that maybe, there is some truth about it. There is a saying that, "If there is smoke, there is fire".

I thought that why do these rumors kept surfacing despite the denials? And the answers were revealed in this news. But the confirmation is yet to be published by both Lee Min Jung and Lee Byung Hun. As a k-follower, I think they will look good together. :))

Top stars Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung are expected to make an announcement admitting to the rumors of their relationship.

According to an entertainment industry insider on August 19th, Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung are planning to make an official announcement regarding their relationship. There have been rumors involving the two stars since the end of last year but both parties have denied the rumors so far.

The rumors had picked up speed back in April and then again in the middle of this month, with stories of a wedding added to the mix, prompting the stars to make an official announcement.

Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung had met each other at various film events getting to know each other for some time then started their relationship at the beginning of this year. Both of the actors were working busily on their projects so they did not reveal any facts about their relationship.

An insider relayed, “There is not a plan to get married yet but the rumors of a wedding are continuing endlessly so they made a decision. They will admit to Lee Min Jung and Lee Byung Hun’s relationship but will reveal that they have no plans to get married yet.”

Lee Byung Hun is a respected actor who debuted back in 1991 through KBS, starring in almost 50 dramas and movies. He is awaiting the premier of the Hollywood movie ‘G. I. Joe: Retaliation’ as well as theKorean movie ‘Gwanghae, King of Joseon’ starring opposite Han Hyo Joo.

Lee Min Jung is a beautiful actress who became a star through dramas like ‘Boys over Flowers’ and‘Midas’, as well as movies ‘Cyrano Agency’ and ‘Wonderful Radio’. She has recently appeared on KBS 2TV drama ‘Big’ opposite Gong Yoo which aired as a follow up to the drama ‘Love Rain’.

Lee Byung Hun makes it official about Lee Min Jung “The most precious person”

Actor Lee Byung Hun officially announced his relationship with actress Lee Min Jung with a hand written letter.

Following Lee Min Jung’s post on her official homepage that made their relationship official, Lee Byung Hun also added a post on his official homepage, making their relatioship official as can be.

Lee Byung Hun greeted the fans then shared, “There is someone I want to be with. And both of us think that it’s the right thing to do, to tell you the fans about it first so we decided to make a post.” Lee Byung Hun said that he had known Lee Min Jung as a colleague for a few years but added “I have been seeing Lee Min Jung carefully since the beginning of the year and I think finally started to have feelings for her.”

Lee Byung Hun also relayed that they were taken aback by the rumors while they were getting to know each other. Lee Byung Hun apologized about not being able to tell the truth for a short while.

More than anything, Lee Byung Hun expressed his love for Lee Min Jung as he ended the letter in the following manner:

“She has become the most precious person to me. I intend to continue this relatioship carefully. I believe there may have been many of the fans who were surprised and taken aback. Actors Lee Min Jung finally made her relationship with actor Lee Byung Hun official.

On August 19th, Lee Min Jung posted on her official homepage “It’s true that I am in a serious relationship with Lee Byung Hun sunbae but the stories about a wedding is not true” making their relationship official.

In the post, Lee Min Jung revealed “I don’t know where to start. First of all, I want to tell you that the two of us are seeing each other as a couple.”

About having denied the rumors about their relationship back in April, Lee Min Jung relayed “Back then, I was not ready to endure the situations that would come up by revealing it to the fans and the public. More than anything, not even the parents nor the management company knew about it so I didn’t have a choice but to be careful about it.”

The rumors about Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung’s relationship was gaining momentum since last April but the management companies of both of the actors strongly denied them. However, even rumors about a wedding have been added since despite the denials and each time, both parties had denied the rumors citing their busy schedules.
