With JYJ controversy recently about their behavior in dealing with "saseng" fans, [which to my own personal opinion is still open for more scrutiny and not to make judgements right away] Hyun joong's fans shared their own account of how Hyun Joong is towards them.
Am not really being biased here but following his career for awhile now, I have seen and watched videos of him and read accounts before about him. I see how cordial he treats his fans. He is always friendly, his ready smile pasted on his beautiful face despite the long hours of perhaps fan signing, or after a long journey via airplane. Fans feel his warm response whenever, where ever. In fact I have seen videos of him where sometimes Mr.Jeong will take cautious actions to secure HJ from fans wanting autographs or photos but I would see in the video that HJ would stop for awhile and let fans and media took pictures of him or accept gifts. These gestures shows how gracious he is as a man and as an artist towards his followers. This only made him more endearing to his fans.
There was also this one instance when he told the story about him being sick and there was this fan who suddenly showed up in his apartment. Instead of feeling invaded he let the fan even cooked him something before leaving him in peace. That is how Hyun Joong deals with that kind of fan.
And as Bae Yong Joon once said in Strong Heart when they called him on the telephone as HJ requested his sunbae [for a quiz segment, which BYJ granted] BYJ praised HJ for being courteous and having good manners.

Netizens take note of Kim Hyun Joong’s manners when dealing with his own Saseng fans
A short clip of singer Kim Hyun Joong responding to his own Saseng fans is drawing netizens’ attention.
The clip was recently shared on an online community site with the title, ‘Kim Hyun Joong’s attitude towards Saseng fans‘.
The video is garnering special attention, as it was uploaded immediately after the JYJ-Saseng fan controversy began spreading like wildfire.
In the clip, there were a number of SS501 fans waiting outside their office trying to take photos of Kim Hyun Joong and Kim Kyu Jong.
Their manager tried to block the girls from getting close, but Kim Hyun Joong looked over at them, smiled, and said, “Go ahead, take pictures!”
Fans who were touched by his understanding nature remarked, “He’s awesome. How can he not get angry in a situation like that?”
Meanwhile, as the controversy surrounding idol stars’ and Saseng fans continue to spread, the fans are voicing their own opinions on the matter.
Some of which include, “The Saseng fans closely watch the stars’ every move, waiting outside their homes. It’s an invasion of their privacy,” and “The stars can’t live without these fans. It’s wrong to use physical violence and profanity against them.”
