Kim, who is the face (har har) of cosmetic brand, The Face Shop, visited Beijing on January 4 to promote the brand and have a fan meeting. A slew of online community sites have been graced with Kim′s China photos since his arrival.
The photos capture just how crazy Chinese fans are for Kim, as all the venues are packed to capacity. In one photo, Kim is seen with his arm around a female fan′s shoulder, with the other hand making a heart sign with her. Bet you feel jealous right about now.
The fans weren′t the only ones flocking to the venues - Chinese media outlets also scurried to wherever Kim was to get the scoop on the hallyu star, while Kim’s fan meeting became a topic in neighboring countries as well. Kim ranked second in the list of most searched words on Yahoo! Singapore.
Meanwhile, Kim will be appearing on China’s Lunar New Year special program Spring Festival Evening Show, which is set to air on January 23 on Liaoning TV.
An official from the program said, “Kim Hyun Joong is looking forward to spending his Lunar New Year in China for the first time. He will be performing at his best with a 20 member dance team.”
